Sorry it's been a while. I've been meaning to write. I sit at my laptop every now and then with my blog open, and try to write something, but it all felt too forced. So now that I've taken care of business (done my errands), I'm just gonna click away on my keys to my heart's content.
My summer so far has been fantastic. I play music probably five nights a week on average with my band, see my friends on a daily basis, do karate, work/get paid, take guitar lessons, write songs as much as possible (more on that later), and it's only June 16th! If have another two and a half months of this, I will be a very happy camper. I haven't been to any concerts yet, but I've got a few good ones coming up.
While I haven't been to any shows, I did have one of the best times ever last week. I flew to Nebraska to see my friend Natalia. I hadn't seen her since January when she flew to Boston to surprise Julia for her birthday. To recap the whole trip would take too much effort. I'll just say that I had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back. Can't. Wait. I returned home on Friday. I was so sad when I had to leave. I'm not sad to be back home, I'm just sad that Natalia, Annie, Kelley Bruce Robinson, Andy, Teddy, LaDuke, and everyone else I know/met are not here with me.
Anyway. My next trip will be Boston for the 4th of July, followed by New York City at some point during the summer. Both will be wicked fun. My cousin Dale will be here in 16 days, and that's always a good time.
Overall, I was right--my summer rocks. It's been a steady stream of awesome. What more could you ask for? The best part is that it's not even done yet. :)

Home
I'm writing this from my own bedroom. The one that has Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, the Beatles, and many others plastered on the walls.
It's oddly comforting to be home. It's almost like time has stopped. I'm only here until Monday, but I have a feeling that when I get back to Boston my four-day weekend will feel like it went by in the blink of an eye.
I feel like being home will give me some clarity. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to do instead of actually doing it. Last semester I was all talk. This semester, I'm all business. I'm all about getting stuff done. Being home gives me time to plan a little bit (more). It gives me time to write. All of what I consider to be my best songs were written right where I'm sitting right now. Even my most recent songs were written here over break. If I could write a few more while I'm here, it would make my life that much better...
...I'm gonna get to work on improving my life.

Some Insight
Hi, everyone, my name is Amy and this my latest blog. I've had several before, and I felt I needed a change. I'm still not a huge fan of words on a screen. I prefer pen and paper, but every now and then a blog comes in handy. I'll mainly use this to convey my thoughts, feelings, and opinions on things.
So here's some insight on me:
I'm a guitarist/singer/songwriter. I'm going to Berklee College of Music next year, and I can't wait. High school is mainly a waste of time now. I don't want to care about it, but I still do. Senioritis has yet to infect me, which is surprising.
Guitar is predominantly my life. I love everything about it.
I love writing songs. I may even post some. I've got a lot to say, and writing a song is the best way for me let it out. I'm not much of a visual artist. I prefer music and words.
I'm an avid avid avid Red Sox fan, and I was before they won. Fenway Park is my second home. I would love to go camp out in the outfield for a night or two..or for the entire summer.
Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and John Mayer are my three favorite artists. Each hold a special place in my heart. I don't want to give it all away, the reasons are obvious. I love many, many, many other artists/bands as well.
I also love blues. I just don't talk about it as much as the three above.
I'm a ball of energy. I find it hard to sit still for long periods of time. My mind's always running as well.
Boston is my favorite place outside of London.
I talk too fast and tend to talk too much.
That sums it up pretty good. I'll think of better things to talk about than myself next time.
